Weston & Sampson is looking for a qualified professional to provide full-time technical and administrative support to its Operation & Maintenance Manager in Chelsea, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of a municipal utility. Duties will include technical tasks, such as receipt of customer service requests and assignment to staff; receipt and distribution of Dig Safe tickets; transmitting drawings and other system data to engineers and contractors; interacting with the public and the client; and various other utility management tasks. Duties will also include administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, recordkeeping, preparation of written reports, and general office management.



+ Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma.

+ A college degree, or at least some technical coursework in water, wastewater, utility management, environmental science, or related field is preferred.

+ A minimum five years professional experience is required.

+ Experience in the operation of a municipal utility is preferred.

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

+ The ability to obtain a Massachusetts Drinking Water Operator's license, minimum Grade 2D, within one year of employment is required.

+ Bilingual is a plus.

+ Must possess a valid Driver's License as there will be minimum travel required.
